The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the Division of Urgent Care Pediatrics is proud to offer a new Academic Pediatric Acute Care (APAC) Fellowship currently recruiting for July 2026.

This fellowship has been thoughtfully designed to span the breadth and depth of acute care medicine while allowing for individualized training throughout the one year program. The fellow will have the unique opportunity to rotate through our free-standing Urgent Cares, Emergency Departments, and various Subspecialty Departments within the institution. This fellowship is designed to be extremely flexible in order to meet the goals of the individual, while also providing a robust clinical and academic experience. Significant time during the year will be dedicated to electives tailored to the specific interests and needs of our Fellow. Fellowship graduates will gain the knowledge, skills, and mentorship to reach their goals in Pediatric Acute Care Medicine.

Program Highlights/Overview

30-40% of the year will be spent in our free-standing Urgent Care Centers
Approximately 30% of the year in our Emergency Departments
- some of this time rotating per Fellow’s goals, some of this time as an ED Pediatrician
Approximately 30% of the year in electives chosen by Fellow
4 weeks vacation
Fellow will complete one academic project specific to their interests and goals
Mentorship in research, clinical medicine, business of medicine, education, etc.
Competitive salary reflecting time spent as an Attending Physician

Use SPUC’s Group Billing to streamline the application and payment processes.

Get a 10% or 15% Discount on Dues: Receive a 10% discount on member dues in the group billing program for groups of 34 members or fewer for your practice or institution. Groups of 35 or more members will receive a 15% discount.

The Society will send one comprehensive renewal notice to include all the SPUC members in your practice or institution. Contact Membership Director Greg Leasure to establish group billing for your members.
