It was an excellent showcase of the important work and achievements for which SPUC\u2019s members continue to accomplish. The event was also packed with superb presentations by experts from Children\u2019s Mercy and across the country. O\u2019Connor with her presentation \u201c<em>Moving Abdominal X-Rays out of the Diagnosis of Constipation in the Urgent Care<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Swati Mahajan, Children\u2019s Healthcare of Atlanta, won 1<sup>st<\/sup> Place Poster Presentation for her work on \u201c<em>Enhancing Antibiotic Stewardship: Increasing Discharge Smart Set Utilization in Urgent Care for Skin Soft Tissue Infection and Acute Otitis Media cases, a Quality Improvement Initiative.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tied for second place &#8211; \u201c<em>Sensitivity and Specificity of Leukocyte Esterase Thresholds in Point-of-Care Decision Making for Suspected UTI<\/em>,\u201d presented by Sadia Ansari MD of Children\u2019s Wisconsin and \u201c<em>New Onset ALL in an 18-Month-Old Patient with Worsening Symptoms of Conjunctivitis-Otitis,<\/em>\u201d presented by Aaron Maki MD PhD of Nationwide Children\u2019s Hospital.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"605\" class=\"wp-image-491\" src=\"https:\/\/spucnews.urgentcarepeds.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/CMKC-Tour-Group-900.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/spucnews.urgentcarepeds.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/CMKC-Tour-Group-900.png 900w, https:\/\/spucnews.urgentcarepeds.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/CMKC-Tour-Group-900-300x202.png 300w, https:\/\/spucnews.urgentcarepeds.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/CMKC-Tour-Group-900-768x516.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/>\n<figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">CMKC Tour Group<\/figcaption>\n<\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A large and enthusiastic group was treated to a tour of the pediatric urgent care facilities of Institutional Host Children\u2019s Mercy Kansas City.
