{"id":172,"date":"2022-04-19T19:42:13","date_gmt":"2022-04-19T19:42:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spucnews.urgentcarepeds.org\/?p=172"},"modified":"2022-04-19T19:43:32","modified_gmt":"2022-04-19T19:43:32","slug":"spucs-education-committee-needs-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spucnews.urgentcarepeds.org\/?p=172","title":{"rendered":"SPUC&#8217;s Education Committee Needs You"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are looking for volunteers to join SPUC\u2019s Education Committee to help us continue to produce timely, evidence-based education for our SPUC member group.&nbsp; This is a great opportunity for someone who has a passion for continuing medical education and wants to be more involved in the Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Attending monthly education committee meetings which involve reviewing post-webinar survey feedback, planning future content and troubleshooting webinar-related issues that may have arisen between meetings.<\/li><li>Learning, with full committee support, how to navigate our fantastic webinar portal, which makes the webinar production process as streamlined and automated as possible. \u00a0<\/li><li>Recruiting at least two speakers and serving as moderator for their webinars every six months. This spreads the work of producing the webinars across the whole committee and makes the workload very manageable.\u00a0 Remember, speakers do not have to be subspecialist pediatricians doing Grand Rounds-style presentations.\u00a0 They can also be one of your own Urgent Care colleagues presenting some interesting cases, a QI project, or newly developed UC guidelines.\u00a0 Journal clubs are also fair game.\u00a0 We all have amazing and unique things happening at our institutions, and this is a fantastic opportunity to learn from one another as colleagues!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Moderator responsibilities include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Putting your speaker(s) on the webinar schedule for the agreed upon date<\/li><li>Requesting needed speaker information, slides, quiz questions\/answers and conflict of interest disclosure and uploading them to the portal three weeks before the webinar date<\/li><li>Scheduling a practice session with your speaker, if needed<\/li><li>Moderating the webinar (introducing the speaker and managing the Q\/A)<\/li><li>Sending the post-webinar survey<\/li><li>Sending a post-webinar thank you note<\/li><li>Sharing post-webinar feedback with your speaker via email.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are interested, please contact Amy Romashko (<a href=\"mailto:aromashko@chw.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">aromashko@chw.org<\/a>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are looking for volunteers to join SPUC\u2019s Education Committee to help us continue to produce timely, evidence-based education for our SPUC member group.&nbsp; This is a great opportunity for someone who has a passion for continuing medical education and wants to be more involved in the Society.
