The Founding Members were celebrated during SPUC’s 10th Annual Conference. SPUC was started by seven urgent care program directors with the intent of sharing their leadership experience, providing education to Pediatric Urgent Care providers and staff, and elevating the field of Pediatric Urgent Care medicine.
SPUC supports these initiatives by sponsoring biweekly webinars which offer complimentary CME and MOC II credits to members, producing annual conferences, and sharing information among their 600+ members.
Some of the Founding Members summarized their joy and excitement about SPUC and its future.
“The past 10 years have been an unexpected, incredible experience. I truly didn’t imagine that our desire to have a place for people to network and share experiences would have led to this robust society of 600 members strong, a highly attended annual leadership workshop and national conference, and a biweekly webinar series. The community of friends that I have made will stay with me forever even as I have stepped down from the board. I want to say a special thank you for the beautiful award and posters and kind words at this conference. I look forward to the new leaders of SPUC to continue to grow this special community.” ~ Magna Dias
“It has been truly remarkable how SPUC has thrived! Even though I ‘left’ the board, my heart will always be with this organization. As founders I hope we can always be a source of inspiration and wisdom to help SPUC stay true to its guiding principles.” ~ Jill Obremskey
